The first day in the office after a long vacation..Year 2009 Friends!! As I suspect, this day will be fully loaded with computer troubleshooting. Approximately 9.30 Am, I'm starting to get a call by user from 8th, 9th and 10th Floor. Some user complain about their connection while running on email, printing and shared drive.
At first, I thought it just a matter of casual connection problem that can be resolved by restarting computer. Ok, we've try this solution and for sometime the problem disappeared.But after a few minuets later, the same problem appeared! And many of my user call again for the same reason.
Now, I'm getting suspicious that this is not just and ordinary problem. Then I'm starting to test my network connection using this tool called Ethereal, we can see the traffic/packet from out network and analyze it.
Finally, I found the source of the problem and bring my network connection back to normal :) There is one computer host that always broadcasting network packet rapidly. So what I do is turning off that computer and scan the hard drive, it seems virus has infected the Windows.
